Jesus

What you believe about Jesus is the most important thing about you. He is the centerpiece of history, the crucified and risen King of the world. We are Jesus’ church, and everything we do is built on who he is and what he has done for us.

God

Jesus has been fully God for all of eternity and is far above us in glory and power and perfection. He created the world, and even though it was ruined by sin, now he is bringing a new, redeemed creation. He deserves our praise, honor, and adoration because he is perfectly holy, just, and majestic.  All of creation exists for him and because of him.

Word

All that God had to say to us, he said in Jesus. All of the bible, and all of history pivots on him.  He revealed God perfectly, and to know him is to know God. Jesus is the embodiment of wisdom and to follow and obey him is to live the way humans were created to live. He bridges the gap between God and broken humanity by being God’s redemption for us, teaching us how redemption works, and displaying what redeemed creation looks like.

Man

Jesus humbly took on humanity and experienced the heaviness of our broken world. He lived the perfect human life in our place, trusting and obeying his heavenly Father as we should have. Ultimately, he became present with us so that he could suffer for us on the cross. He sacrificed his life for us, the ultimate servant. Jesus willingly entered our story to rescue us out of it, back to full humanity to relate to God and others as we were intended.

King

Jesus brings the redemption of a new creation by dying to take the punishment we deserve for abandoning God, and by raising from the dead, that we might be given his new life, accepted by our God and King. In his death and Jesus defeated every power of sin, brokenness, and death and through his resurrection now rules as King. He fills this broken creation with the redemption of his new creation as he pleases, with the promise of complete restoration in the future.

The Gospel is the good news about Jesus and His redemption.
